Flares and Signalling. A Talk and demonstration by the RNLI. >>> FREE <<<
Knowing how to summon help is a vital part of all divers skills and knowledge. One very important aspect is using flares and signalling. Friday 20 April, 2007 6:30pm for 7pm at The Ship, Dunswell.

A visit to the Hyperbaric Medical Unit at the BUPA Hospital, Lowfield Road, Anlaby

. Includes a talk by a Hyperbaric doctor, a tour of the facility, and a ‘bounce dive’ in the chamber.

Talk by Paul Chapman, the local Coastguard Diving Liaison Officer. 
08-02-05 Special screening from the Deep Wreck Detective series. The Malvina and the UB107 mystery. 
These wrecks, lying off Flamborough,  were sank in 1918 on different days but were found entangled together. 
Malvina: 1244-ton  steamer-schooner, built 1879.
 UB-107: 649-ton German UBIII class submarine, built 1917.

Kevin Martin from Hulls newest dive shop 'Wet Dreams' is the local Sea Marshall agent and will be giving a presentation on this very desirable piece of rescue kit. How and when to use it, How it works and what  it cost etc.

13-07-04 Marine Exploration Presentation. On Tuesday night (13/7/04) club members were left wanting for more after Lt Jeremy Weirich and Dr David Conlin gave superb presentations about their adventures in the marine environment.  Click here for more.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) run courses to get people trained up so that they can help out with rescues of stranded or distresses whales, dolphins, seals etc.

Members, if you require these lectures there is a golden opportunity to get them out of the way. Ian Sibley-Calder will deliver the series of lectures at his home in Hornsea on Sunday 16 February 2003 starting about 2pm.

Angie is organising a  visit to the local hyperbaric facility for  Thursday 30th January 2003 at 6.30pm.
There will be a lecture on diving injuries and hyperbaric medicine, and a dive in the chamber.
