Reg only hung up his fins 8 years ago at the age of 82. Reg and Brian are now honorary life members of our Club the British Sub Aqua Club Hull Branch.
We'd like to welcome as many past and present members as possible to attend a 60th birthday barbecue at the Ship Inn in Dunswell on Sat June 28.
"We'd love to hear from former Hull Branch divers and to see any old photos or diving memorabilia you can bring along to share with us. As a club we must have had more than 1,500 members train and dive with us over the last six decades so hopefully some of you are still in the area and able to attend."

Mary Tetley, the Chief Executive of the British Sub-Aqua Club, has paid tribute to the British Sub Aqua Hull branch.
"Reg and Brian were early pioneers of the sport in the UK and have a proud heritage. The sport is growing in popularity and we are very proud that the Duke of Cambridge has just become the third generation of his family to become President of the British Sub-Aqua Club. He is following in footsteps of his father and grandfather at the helm of BSAC, which is the governing body for scuba diving.
The Duke has spoken of how he hopes his Presidency will inspire his little son George and other youngsters to also take the plunge and explore the underwater world. It is important this new generation remembers the contribution of people like Reg and Brian who helped lay the foundations for this fantastic and exciting sport."
Brian, a First Class Diver and Instructor spent some time in America Key West Looking for sunken treasure. Brian who was in the fire service obtained a oxygen re-breather Breathing Apparatus Set and converted it to diving this was abandoned after a few problems.
Both Reg and Brian agree that the best diving experiences have been off Flamborough Head on this coast.
Trevor Jones MBE, Diving Officer, reminisces,
"I first met Reg at a boat club at Hornsea coming out of the sea in a wetsuit. He Inspired me with his exploits in diving and encouraged me to take up the sport. After diving for over forty years I'm proud to be a Life Honorary Member of HULL Branch and be able to chat with Reg and Brian."
